Are you trying to make Polished Deepslate in Minecraft but drawing a blank? This material can be a little difficult to come by, as you can only get it from Ancient Cities (whether you mine it directly from the Ancient City or use Cobbled Deepslate mined from an Ancient City to craft it). In this article we'll teach you how you can get Polished Deepslate, and what you can craft with it once you have it.
How to Get Polished Deepslate in Minecraft
Polished Deepslate can be obtained one of two ways: mining it from an Ancient City with a pickaxe, or crafting it with Cobbled Deepslate. You can use 4 Cobbled Deepslate to make 4 Polished Deepslate blocks with the crafting table. With the stonecutter, you can make just 1 Polished Deepslate with 1 Cobbled Deepslate.

Polished Deepslate is naturally generated in Ancient Cities. If you can find an Ancient City, you can gather Polished Deepslate with a pickaxe.
- If you use any other tool, the Polished Deepslate will drop nothing.[1]

You can craft Polished Deepslate with four Cobbled Deepslate. Place 1 Cobbled Deepslate in the lower-left corner of a 3x3 crafting grid, then place 1 additional Cobbled Deepslate directly above, diagonal, and to the right of the initial Cobbled Deepslate.
- You will get 4 Polished Deepslate when crafting it.
